Pool Turf That Stays Cooler for Bare Feet by the Water
Fusion Turf Augustine Oasis is the pool turf we sell for the ground beside the water. Its Cool-Yarn fibers stay cooler in direct sun than standard synthetic turf.
Because one call to 501-532-1905 handles the turf and the supplies we sell with it, the whole backyard goes on a single order. Give us the size of each area, and we work out for free how much pool turf your project takes.
Where pool turf goes in your backyard
Augustine Oasis covers the strip around the pool. It also goes at the pool steps. Keep the same turf on the path from the pool to the back door, because everyone crosses that ground barefoot on the way in and out of the house.
Augustine Oasis sells by the square foot, with today's price on its product page. You order your pool turf with a call to 501-532-1905.
Landscape turf for the open lawn and the front lawn
Past the pool, the rest of your backyard can take a turf from our landscape turf line. All eight turfs in that line sell by the square foot. A pool turf by the water and a lawn turf for the rest of the backyard give each area a turf made for the way you use it.
Because Fusion Turf Bermuda HD is a heavy turf for high-traffic areas and active backyards, it fits the open lawn where people play. Augustine EX goes on the front lawn, where people see it from the street. It has a higher face weight and more thatch than the base Augustine, which gives it a denser feel.
You have a second choice for the open lawn if you want the look of St. Augustine grass. Fusion Turf Augustine has wide blades and a deep green color. The line has four more turfs, each with its own look or build.
- Bermuda has the fine blades and olive-green tones of natural Bermuda grass for a home lawn that needs no mowing or watering.
- In a mix of field and olive greens, Zoysia has the coarse texture of natural Zoysia grass.
- Zoysia EX has a heavy face weight and a dense build that recovers quickly from foot traffic.
- Bent Grass gives a backyard the trimmed look of a golf fairway, with a short, dense pile.
How to measure the artificial grass around your pool
Take a tape measure and a notepad out to the pool. Square feet come from length times width. The strip of artificial grass around your pool and the lawn beyond it each get their own number.
Say your pool is 16 by 32 feet, with a 4-foot strip of turf on every side. Measure the strip along its outside edge, from corner to corner. For this pool, the outside edge measures 24 by 40 feet, or 960 square feet. Take away the 512 square feet of the pool itself, and the strip covers 448 square feet. Write 448 down for the strip.
Measure the strip at the width you want, because every extra foot of width takes more pool turf. A 30 by 40 foot lawn beyond the strip covers 1,200 square feet of landscape turf, and the math works the same way for every turf in the line. Measure the length and the width of the front lawn too, from the wall of your house out to the sidewalk or the curb.
Sketch your property on the notepad. Draw a curved lawn as close to its real shape as you can, and write the longest length and the widest width of the curve beside it. Mark the pool steps on your sketch as well, because you climb out of the water there and Augustine Oasis covers that ground too.
Give the path to the back door its own number. You write down each area, and we work out how much turf to order for each one. You can also give us the numbers over the phone.
Supplies that go on the same order as your turf
The order for your backyard includes the turf, the infill sand, the seam tape and the glue. Each one sells by its own unit. Easyfill infill sand sells by the pallet and comes as Easyfill 30/50 or Easyfill 16/30. Ask us about the two grades when you call.
Turf Claw Seam Tape works with Turf Claw glue to join two sections of turf where they meet. The tape has no glue of its own. Order the glue with the tape. We sell the seam tape by the roll, and the glue line has the Turf Claw Glue Box and three Turf Claw adhesives that sell by the block.
Contractors, we deliver the whole order of turf and supplies straight to your jobsite to save you the quarry run and the truck wear. We also coordinate freight beyond the local area. Homeowners outside the local area can use that same freight service.
Visit the yard in Hot Springs Village
The yard covers 7 acres of stone, where you see the actual pieces and pick out the ones you want before you buy. The stone you look at is the stone you buy. Bring your sketch along, because one trip to the yard takes care of the pool turf order and the stone for the rest of your backyard. We are Rockhouse Stone, with Bennett Brothers of Hot Springs heritage since 1972.
